  • To Provide Our Services: To generate accurate estimates, schedule and perform moving services, create mandatory inventory lists and Bills of Lading, and manage the logistics of your move.
  • To Process Payments: To process payments for services rendered, issue invoices, and manage billing in accordance with our payment policies (including the 110% Rule).
  • To Communicate With You: To send you digital estimates for review, provide booking confirmations, communicate updates about your move, send final receipts, and respond to your inquiries or complaints.
  • For Legal and Regulatory Compliance: To comply with regulations set by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC), including tariff filings, documentation requirements, and cooperation with any formal complaint investigations.
  • For Customer Service and Support: To investigate and resolve any issues, disputes, or claims related to loss or damage.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share your information with third parties in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers and Software Partners: We share information with third-party companies that perform services on our behalf. This includes our moving software provider (Moverbase) for estimate generation and booking, and our secure payment processor for handling credit/debit card transactions. These partners are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the services we have hired them to provide.
  • Regulatory Authorities: We may be required to share information with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) or other government bodies in response to a formal complaint, inquiry, or as otherwise required by law.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend the rights or property of Move Up Movers, or protect the personal safety of our customers or the public.
  • To Our Employees and Crew: Your name, addresses, and move-specific details are shared with our moving crews and administrative staff on a need-to-know basis to perform the contracted services.

Move Up Movers takes commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. When you provide payment information, it is transmitted via a secure link and processed by a PCI-compliant payment gateway.

However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

  1. Your Responsibilities and Prohibited Items

As outlined in our Customer Service Agreement, it is your sole responsibility to transport highly sensitive and valuable personal items. We do not collect or knowingly transport items such as currency, jewelry, important documents (wills, passports, deeds), prescription medications, or firearms. This policy is in place to protect your most sensitive property, and we are not liable for these items.
